Advocacy Committee
This committee helps to shape healthcare policy through interactions with government, the public, business, other professional organizations, and the healthcare industry.
Audit Committee
This is a standing committee, which reviews the MAFP financials. Members of this committee are appointed by the MAFP President annually from the members of the MAFP Board of Directors.
Bylaws Committee
This is a standing committee, which reviews the MAFP Bylaws and ensures they are in compliance with the AAFP. Members of this committee are appointed by the MAFP President annually from the members of the MAFP Board of Directors.
Communications & Membership Committee
This committee helps to recruit and retain members while offering viable membership services. The committee also assists in the promotion of the unique and essential role of Family Medicine and the Academy to the public, business, government, healthcare industry, students and our members.
Nominating Committee
This is a standing committee, which annually provides recommendations and reviews applications for the MAFP Board of Directors and MAFP Awards. Members of this committee are appointed as set forth in the MAFP Bylaws.
MAFP Foundation Committees
Professional Development Committee
This committee plans and oversees all CME programming, including the Michigan Family Medicine Annual Conference & Expo along with other CME initiatives, including CME aspects of the American Board of Family Medicine's Maintenance of Certification for Family Physicians (MC-FP) program.
Student/Resident Education Committee
This committee brings residency program directors and faculty, Family Medicine residents, medical school faculty and students together to advance Family Medicine education in Michigan.
Family Medicine Political Action Committee
Family Medicine PAC Board
This board is the governing body of the Family Medicine Political Action Committee (PAC), which provides an opportunity for MAFP members to collectively support candidates for public office in Michigan who are interested in and supportive of issues which serve to uphold the mission of MAFP. This board manages and ensures the Family Medicine PAC is in compliance with all pertinent provisions set forth in the PAC Bylaws.
