Meeting Your Elected Officials

Interested in meeting your elected officials to discuss policy issues unique to family medicine?

Meeting Your Elected OfficialsAs we navigate the dynamic health care environment, now more than ever it is important to make your voice heard. Family physicians bring a wealth of practical knowledge and experience to the public discourse. Through your membership at MAFP, we are here to assist you in ensuring your ideas and opinions are heard in the legislature. You, more than anyone, understand the issues facing family medicine and lawmakers look to you for guidance. Your voice carries a great deal of weight in the process. That's why now is the perfect time to get involved.

Download the 2013-14 Citizen’s Guide to State Government for information you need to get in touch to effectively voice your concerns. This is a helpful reference tool to assist you in your efforts to be heard by public officials.
