Bowling for Family Medicine PAC Fundraiser
Monday, July 11 | 5-7 p.m. | $50 per adult | $25 per child under 21 | Registration is required.
Includes two games of bowling, shoe rental, pizza, pop, beer (21 and older), dessert and fantastic prizes and give-a-ways included.
Enjoy bowling with your friends and family while supporting Family Medicine advocacy efforts in Lansing! The ticket price (as well as any additional contributions above and beyond) will go directly to the Family Medicine PAC—the advocacy champion for Family Medicine in Michigan. Without your contributions and support, educating legislators about issues impacting your specialty, daily practice and patients would be nearly impossible.
Downtown Scavenger Hunt/Pub Crawl

Explore downtown Bay City—a cozy, waterfront town nestled on the banks of Lake Huron—during a fun-filled scavenger hunt and pub crawl. You will also have the opportunity to win prizes, compliments of the Great Lakes Bay Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau. Participants will meet in the Wenonah Suite on the 6th floor of the hotel at 7:30 p.m. for a kick-off and a complimentary beverage/cocktail. | There is no cost to participate, but you will have the opportunity to purchase snacks and beverages throughout the scavenger hunt.
Dairy Farm Tour
Tuesday, July 12 | 1-5 p.m. | FREE | Registration is required.
While you are attending conference sessions, your family and other guests will have the opportunity to tour the nearby Goma Dairy Farm in Marlette, home to 3,000 dairy cows that provide safe, quality milk. The farm team will showcase how animal care is always the first priority, from keeping the cows cool during the summer heat of July to ensuring they eat a balanced diet as prescribed by a nutritionist. "Caring for cows is teamwork." Participants should meet in the hotel lobby at 12:50 p.m. to begin boarding the tour bus. There is no cost to attend; however, participants must RSVP. Snacks and beverages will be provided.
President's Gala

Take your seat for dinner and an evening to recognize and celebrate Family Medicine in Michigan. We will congratulate the 2016 MAFP Academy Award winners; recognize a host of membership achievements; thank outgoing President Kim Yu, MD, FAAFP and outgoing MAFP Foundation President Angelo Patsalis, MD, FAAFP for their contributions; and welcome Robert Jackson, MD, MMM as he steps into the MAFP presidential seat, and Edward Jackson, MD, FAAFP in his new role as MAFP Foundation President.
USS Edson Naval Ship Tour

Don't miss your chance to explore one of America's most decorated warships. This destroyer served our country for three decades, and is now of only a select few museum ships afloat today. Participants should meet in the lobby and be prepared to board a bus promptly at 4:45 p.m.
Appledore Dinner Cruise
Wednesday, July 13 | 7-10 p.m. | $79 per adult | $50 per child 18 or under. | Registration is required.
Set sail on the Saginaw River for a relaxing evening aboard a 65-foot schooner owned and operated by the nonprofit BaySail. Once out in the open water of the Saginaw Bay, you can help the crew set the sails and then enjoy dinner, beverages, and the beautiful view while learning about local history. Do not delay in registering for this event; space is limited to 24 people.
Old City Hall Dinner & Ghost/Graveyard Tour

This spooktacular evening will kick off with dinner and ghost stories at the Old City Hall, which is within walking distance of the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel. Now a "big city" style restaurant, the building was home to Bay City's first city hall, police department, jail, and courthouse in the late 1890s. Following dinner you will board a bus with a local historian for a ghostly tour through Bay City, stopping by historic landmarks and graveyards, thought to be haunted.
"Sail Away" BBQ Lunch on the Riverfront
