The American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) recently announced upcoming changes to the Maintenance of Certification for Family Physicians (MC-FP) process. Among those changes is dividing the current Self-Assessment Module (SAM) into two separate activities, transitioning all Diplomates to the MC-FP point system, developing a new continuous Knowledge Self-Assessment for Part II, and discounting the cost of MC-FP for Diplomates over 70 years of age.
