Inspire. Create. Lead. - Call for NCSC Delegates

Description_ncsc

The National Conference of Special Constituencies (NCSC) is the American Academy of Family Physicians' forum to address member issues specific to women, minorities, new physicians, international medical graduates and GLBT physicians. This conference is an opportunity for members of these underrepresented constituencies to voice their individual and group perspectives.

In just under three days, attendees will:

  • Shape AAFP policies and positions, elect national officers and meet others with the same common interests.
  • Participate in NCSC-specific business functions; as a Chapter Delegate, you have the ability to vote and fully-participate in these functions.
  • Run for office, if qualified, and volunteer to serve on a reference committee, the Tellers Committee, or Parliamentarian.
  • Obtain valuable leadership skills to employ at your practice and chapter while earning CME.

MAFP is seeking members to represent Michigan in each of the five constituencies at the 2014 NCSC, which will be held May 1-3, in Kansas City, Missouri. Delegates to the NCSC will be reimbursed for eligible expenses according to the MAFP reimbursement policy.

If you, or someone you know, have an interest in getting involved, we encourage you to apply to be a Chapter Delegate. Online applications will be accepted until Friday, November 15, 2013, at 11:59 p.m.
