Three New Faces at MAFP

MAFP is thrilled to announce three new faces have joined the team this winter, creating new opportunities and possibilities for staff to help achieve the mission:
Jennifer Crawford, Executive Assistant
Jennifer Crawford joined MAFP recently in the newly-created executive assistant position at MAFP.
Jennifer comes to us from BECKA Management, LLC., where she was an administrative assistant for the past few years. In her role there, she provided administrative support to a small office working with the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) to assist more than 3,000 housing choice voucher program participants throughout the state of Michigan.
Born in Jackson and a longtime East Lansing resident, Jennifer is a mother of four whose ages range from 16-22. An animal lover, Jennifer also owns two dogs and three cats (all rescues), as well as three chickens. In her spare time, she enjoys photography and art.
Jennifer will be managing the front desk at MAFP Headquarters, so please stop in and say hello the next time you visit. To contact Jennifer, email jcrawford@mafp.com.
Luis Delgado, Health is Primary Coordinator
In December, MAFP welcomed Luis Delgado as Health is Primary coordinator, a volunteer position that incorporates his practicum in the Michigan State University (MSU) Master’s in public health program.
As a lifelong resident of Michigan, Luis brings knowledge of, passion for, and commitment to health care to his work. A true benefit, as his ambition is to pursue a career as a Family Physician, and even more closely align his personal interest, causes, and beliefs with those of MAFP members.
Having recently married his high school sweetheart (Dr. Jessica Delgado, DDS), and residing in Canton, Luis has made a commitment to Michigan, and is continuing to demonstrate that commitment through service to the community. He looks forward to continuing to serve Michigan and its residents through his contributions to the 2015 Health is Primary city tour, coming to Detroit, October 21, 2015.

Julie Muldowney, Communications Intern
Julie Muldowney joined MAFP in January as the communications intern for the January-May winter semester.
Julie is currently finishing up her last semester at Michigan State University, where she is pursuing a degree in communication with specializations in public relations and health promotion. Her professional interests lie within the area of health, which makes her a perfect fit for the Academy.
She is an active member in MSU’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) and recently completed an internship with the non-profit Michigan Fitness Foundation. And she is excited for the opportunity to learn more about the different aspects of the health care industry and communications in a membership organization.
MAFP is looking forward to having Julie Muldowney on board for the next few months to assist with the many tasks at hand. If you would like to say hello or welcome her to the Academy, email her at jmuldowney@mafp.com.
